lifetime in a dance. Now shake it off, start again

Recognized her from another jam. Attractive, calm. Long hair.

As I approached, she flitted away. Then she was sideways to me, her energy open. Moving closer, our shoulders touched.

I waited to feel her movement, to track my own, then began relaxing. No action, no intention…and that made all the difference.

Feelings flowed as I rotated while she stayed in place, in effect rotating against me to face my back. I felt her nose brush my shoulder, and was lost, the physical experience like electricity, the feeling experience simultaneous delight and fear. Delight that this appealing person put her face against my back, fear in feeling ungrounded.

if you’re emotionally disconnected in an intimate experience, where do your feelings go?

I thought, I can hang in here. Let her rub her nose on my back, touch me, let’s see how I respond. The letting go was the trick: stepping back within not stepping out of myself. The magic began as I surrendered to presence without intention.

can one live without a plan?

As I let go, we rolled against each other, ending up on the floor…she rolling me over, pushing my arm up, over, back, pausing at various points, resting in various…
